Jim Bender statement regarding a proposed televised debate in Nashua with the four major U.S. Senate candidates

The Jim Bender for Senate campaign released the following statement regarding a proposed televised debate in Nashua with the four major U.S. Senate candidates.

“I am disappointed that my opponents did not choose to participate and include in their schedules this opportunity to speak to the voters and continue to discuss the important issues of this election," said Jim.  "It is insulting to voters in New Hampshire to assume that they have been able to see all the debates and forums that were designed for small audiences in select areas.  The benefit to televised debates is that the broadcast medium is a service to many voters who may not otherwise be able to witness discussion.  In addition, this would have been broadcast in Nashua and 30 other surrounding communities.  This would have been a two hour opportunity to show voters that these candidates can go beyond their sound bites answering questions and in depth debating.  Schedules can be changed and so can voter’s minds.”
